Initially AMSC (American Mobile Satellite Corporation), it was renamed Motient
Corporation in early 2000. The satellite assets were sold to MSV (Mobile
Satellite Ventures) on 26 Nov 2001.
Skyterra
owns 83% of the company. 100% reached in 2007 after buying BCE's stake. In Dec
2008, the company was renamed SkyTerra MSV.
