Privatised in 1999. In Oct 2003, the board recommands sales to the UK-base
private equity firms Apax Partners and Permira for $1.538 billion. An IPO was
carried in June 2005.
In Mar 2019, the company accepted a $3.4 billion takeover from investment
companies led by Apax and Warburg. Controled transfered to Connect Bidco Ltd
(Guernsey) in Dec 2019.
In Nov 2021 the company was acquired by
Viasat
for $7.6 billion USD.
