New Skies Satellites NV

NSS was the commercial arm of Intelsat, temporarily called New Skies Satellites. Was created in April 1998. This limited liability company is based in The Hague, The Netherlands. Intelsat should keep 10% of the company with non-voting shares. The maximum shareholder ownership was set at 17%. The ownership will be diluted through an IPO.

In Sep 1999 NSS ordered its first satellite. NSS has a control center in The Hague, NL.

The company operating these satellites is now known as SES World Skies.
