Also called G60 and Songjiang
Built by the Shanghai Institute for Microsatellite Innovation of the Chinese
Academy of Sciences (CAS) and are operated by German company KLEO Connect. Will
help test new interference suppression technology for Ka-band mobile
communications satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) and Geostationary orbit
(GEO).
Mass of each satellite estimated at 100 kg
In the the Kleo dispute, the Chinese side claimed that these 2 satellites had
nothing to do with the Kleo Connect constellation, but would be related to the
G60 Starlink project based in Songjiang. This project aims to launch 1296
satellites in 36 planes.
