Remote sensing satellite program operated by Thai Ministry of Science and Technology's Space Agency GISTDA (Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency). To be used for both civilian and military purposes. Will provide imaging of any part of Thailand within 2 days.

A contract was signed in Jul 2004 with EADS for one satellite and launch + the ground segment + inclusion of Thai enginners in the development team. Worth EUR 130 million ($161.7 million). EADS's AstroSat product line will be used.
