Smart Dragon


Also called Jielong

Small Chinese solid-propellant rocket developed by China Rocket Co. Ltd, a subsidiairy of CALT (state owned).

Smart Dragon 1 can launch 200 kg in sun-synchronous orbit of 500 km. The rocket can be built in 6 months time and requires only 24 hours preparation on launch site.

Smart Dragon 3 is a 4-stage solid fuel rocket. Liftoff mass around 140 tons. It can put 1500 kg in a 500 km sun-synchronous orbit.
