Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System
Indian navigation program to cover its subcontinent and neighbouring countries.
Will provide positioning, navigation and timing services. Should provide 20 m
accuracy in India.
Made of 3 GEO (34, 83, 132 °E) plus 4 geosynchronous (29° inclination
at 55 and 111°E (by pairs)) satellites.
Construction and launch of the satellites is expected to cost INR16 billion
(EUR288 million, US$393 million).
