Mabuhay Philippines Satellite Corp. ( MPSC) is controlled by PLDT (51%). Partners are Philippines Communications Satellite Corp (Philcomsat), Republic Broadcasting System, China Everbright Group, Cable Entertainment Group, PT PSN.

PLDT announced they would launch 3 satellites in late 1996-1998. In mid 1996 Palapa B2P was bought in orbit to act as the first Mabuhay bird
