Program: NigComSat

Nigeria's first GEO telecommunication program, later privatised and operated by Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT Ltd).

First satellite launched in 2007, replaced after failure in 2011.

In March 2016, two new satellites are ordered from the same Chinese supplier to complement the coverage and capacity of the first communication satellite. To cover Nigeria and ECOWAS countries.
