(VHRR/2). The resolution is 8 km in the visible band and 8 km in the water
vapour band.
Has 3 scanning modes:
- Full frame (20° x 20°; 33 minutes min)
- Normal frame (14° North-South x 20° East-West; 23 minutes min)
- Sector frame (4.5° North-South x 20° East-West; to follow cyclones)
