Nadezhda means 'hope'

Russian navigation program using the Tsikada platform. The satellites of this program carry a Cospas receiver.

The Nadezhda M generation (started with Cosmos 2315) carries hardware that can either provide Cospas or Kurs services.

The last satellite of the program stopped working in May 2007.
