Gorizont #41, also called Rimsat 1 or Rimsat G1 or Statsionar R1 or PASI

Was leased to the US-Malaysian Rimsat company to offer telecommunications
services over Asia and the Pacific region. Rimsat was to use the satellite 3
years for a cost of $12 million. In September 1995 the satellite was taken over
by
Intersputnik
after a complex dispute
In 1997, it was sold to the
PASI

The satellite provides slightly better performance than the standard Gorizont:
at least 1 dBW more in C-band and 3 dBW in Ku-band (see footprint maps for
details). This improvment could be due to a little more power available,
perhaps because of the lack of auxilliary (X- or L-band) transponders.
