Eutelsat has included this satellite in a joint venture (EBI) deal in 2016 with Viasat to expand the European market and create a direct to consumer ISP business. EBI is 51% Eutelsat, 49% Viasat.

In Late-2020 Eutelsat sold its 51% to Viasat for EUR140 million

On 24 Feb 2022 with the start of the Russian-Ukraine war a cyberattack disrupted communications by targetting commercial modems. The company had to ship replacements as the fix could only by done by the manufacturer.
